Parents, your problems are not for kids…  <–( permalink )

I’ll add to this post soon too… [ and if for some insane reason the woman I am about to reference reads this, good - you should be ashamed and need some professional help ] but on this night walking back to our car from a city Christmas festival, we made way for a woman hurrying along her two children. The woman apparently had issues and was proceeding the drag the kids into it, something clearly now for kids.

There was some issue about money, the dilapidated state of their house, repair costs, insurance companies, the police, etc. - so I’m assuming there was some remodeling work that either went bad or never was finished and the woman was making a huge issue about something involving the kids and them basically not getting what they wanted… all due to “having $6000 left”. The end result was “guilting” the children into a depressed state where the woman seems to currently reside - along with bitterness, anger and hatred.

The woman’s daughter must of been about seven to nine years old, and was innocently trying to comfort her mom by contributing to and asking questions of the conversation. The woman’s other child must of been around six to seven and he never said a word.

The woman continued having a heated adult conversation with her kids, basically putting all her emotional baggage on them… by making them face the problems the woman herself was going through - all down the street we were sharing with others walking to their cars.

My wife summed it up best by thinking the woman is divorced and uses the young daughter as the only adult conversation the woman receives. I just think it’s wrong for a parent to “bitch” about their own problems to a child who clearly should not be involved. Kids are growing up way too fast as it is.

To those poor kids, I hope your mom does not pull you down with her… know that you do not have to feel sad and angry as she does. Love life, it is worth living.

Hawk and son, er… dead bird  <–( permalink )

I’ll add to this soon… but just wanted to say how I was opening the blinds in my living room on this day and looked out the window to see a radiant hawk picking apart an unfortunate dove underneath my backyard’s bird-feeder. As I looked up, I noticed a large shape in a lighter colored circle - compared to the grass ( and weeds ) - and I at first took it to be a yellowish cat.

Instead, the shape was a sleek hawk, painted a glowing yellow and orange from the morning sun. It noticed the movement in the window, so I carefully snapped a few photos from a hiding spot.

I’ve seen a hawk in my neighborhood and backyard before, but never enjoying a morning meal. The hawk pulled off some more bright-red flesh, then disappeared… taking the carcass with it. Days have passed and the circle of feathered carnage still remains. It’s as if the hawk tore all the poor dove’s feather’s off to get to the bare bird - and there is not even one spec of blood or discarded remains to be found.

I’ve noticed other dead birds and squirrels at times… but figured they were from cat attacks or something else ( mostly since one cat will kill birds, while the other cat kills lizards and geckos ). Now I’ll reconsider my cats’ killing aptitude and be on the lookout for larger predator fare.

I’ve always liked hawks…

11:11 - what’s it all about?  <–( permalink )

Hi! Ever since I was a young teenager I’ve been plagued by always looking at the time ( watches, clocks, etc. ) when it was 11:11 AM/PM. I never knew why. I mean on the money eleven:eleven. Rarely, right before or after. Always dead-on. Years went by before I ever mentioned it or looked into it.

An old internet friend [ sorry WickedAngel, I'm an ass for not responding back to you - I deserve being hated ] once said she noticed the recurring time too, but that’s all I’ve ever really mentioned it before.

Anyway, once ( a long time ago ) I was in a New Age store with my mom and found a book entitled, “11:11… something or other” and bought it [ why my church-going mom ever let me, I don't know... maybe for my freedom of choice - but I should not of been in a New Age store to begin with ]. I never even read the book, but for maybe the first chapter. It was some stupid cult-sounding group who wore white robes and thought these aliens or spirits would take you away in the dessert. I don’t remember.

So, nothing ever became of it and I stopped looking into it and never thought much more of it. Being Christian now especially, I don’t care anymore to research it… for it all seems like non-religious spiritual jibba-jabba to me… but you can find tons of links and websites about “the phenomenon” below:

I just wanted to post on November 11th… obviously, 11/11/2007 — since I still “notice” the time 11:11 almost every day.

I do think it very strange for multiple individuals to all have the same occurrences though.
